America’s Thanksgiving is just a day away and as I read posts from friends, colleagues, and other publications I ponder gratitude of the occasion. Thanksgiving is about celebrating differences, new beginnings, and gratitude for the bounty set before us.
Gratitude is part of my daily life as I journal at least one thing to be grateful for everyday. When Thanksgiving rolls around I easily can flip through my journal and start an exhaustive list of people, places, and things of gratitude through the year.
What about celebrating different cultures or ideas with others? Human nature we have a tendency to be with people with think, talk, walk, and experience life as we do. This is where we find comfort, security, and peace. our self-worth, well-being, and gratitude is how we see life around us. Jim Rohn tells us we are like the five people we spend the most time with. Check out who you are spending time with, are they positive? Do they push daily out of their comfort-zone for growth? Do they inspire and empower those around them to be better tomorrow?
Attitude is key in how we perceive life around us. I have heard many times, “we see the world as we see ourselves.” How we perceive the world around us. Attitude is about the success we are receiving vs. the success we desire and deserve.
- Gratitude: make a quick list of what you are truly grateful for; then make it a daily practice through the year and see how this helps shape your world of gratitude to a better attitude.
- Differences: find a relative or friend at your Thanksgiving table and invite the conversation that will stretch your knowledge.
- New Beginnings: Check your self-attitude! Success in all our endeavors evolve around our attitude and how we see the world around us. Check your 5; it is ok to make adjustments, we call this the Law of Sacrifice. Sacrifice your comfort in letting go of relationships holding you back to success.
My gift to you this Thanksgiving! A GRACEbreak minute about attitude. What is fun about this one this is one of my Mother-n-Law’s favorites. So of course it is one of my favorites! This is what she said, “when I listened to this one it made me step back and check mine too.”
I wish you a year full of Gratitude of Attitude!
Look UP and OUT my Friends!
